SUNESA is not just a name — it is an intention. Drawn from the first two letters of each founder's name (SUrangana, NEena & SApna), it also means graceful, radiant, with the warm steady energy of the sun. Three women from one family, different skills, one belief: that what we bring into our homes should be made with care, by honest hands.
We began with hand block printing because no machine repeats a pattern the way a person does. We care about fabric, weight, finish, and how something feels after the tenth wash — not just the first photograph. Not recreated. Not "inspired by." Just made properly, by people who know the craft. Everything we make is built for the quiet architecture of daily life — to be used, washed, used again, and loved longer.
India holds an extraordinary map of craft traditions, each region with its own vocabulary of motif and technique, and as SUNESA grows, so does the conversation. We look forward to exploring more of it with you. We are glad you found us.
